The Old Boys Association of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), along with its Executive Council, organized a memorial program today in honor of the late Mr. Shakir, a valued member of the Executive Council and a former associate of the Old Boys Association. The program was initiated to pay tribute to Mr. Shakir, who passed away recently.

A notice had been circulated inviting members of the association, and the event commenced at 4:00 PM today. The memorial ceremony was attended by all core and executive members of the Old Boys Association, as well as AMU alumni and students, who gathered to honor Mr. Shakir’s memory.

In addition to the members of the association, Mr. Shakir’s family was also invited to the event. The ceremony included a recitation of the Quran, prayers, and a moment of silence in remembrance of his contributions to the community.

During the meeting, Azam Neer Khan, a prominent member of the Executive Council, announced that a scholarship would be introduced in Mr. Shakir’s name. This scholarship will be dedicated to supporting students, particularly children, in their educational endeavors, ensuring Mr. Shakir’s legacy lives on through future generations.

The event marked a poignant moment for the AMU community as they paid their respects and pledged to continue honoring Mr. Shakir’s contributions to both the Old Boys Association and the university as a whole.
